Job Title: | Chef de Partie (Chinese Cuisine) |
Job Duties: | A chef de partie’s primary role is to oversee the preparation, cooking, and presentation of meals in a restaurant. Duties associated with this role including directing chefs in their section in preparing, cooking, and presenting culinary dishes; enforcing strict health and hygiene standards in the kitchen; and trouble-shooting any problems that may arise. In addition, he is responsible to assist with the efficient running of the department in line with Pacific Islands Club Corporate Strategies and brand standards, whilst meeting employee, guest and owner expectations. The Chef de Partie is responsible to supervise the assigned station / section of the outlet kitchen, in order to prepare a consistent Chinese menu and recipes, high quality product and ensure courteous, professional, efficient and flexible service that supports the outlet’s operating concept and Pacific Islands Club standards. |

Qualification Requirements: | Minimum of three (3) years of experience in overseeing the production of Chinese cuisine for hotels, restaurants or banquets. Must have strong knowledge of Chinese cuisine. Plus one (1) year of supervisory experience. Must have good management and organizational skills. Must have the ability to work independently and within a team, and have the ability to work well under pressure. Must have excellent communication skills. Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. |
