Job Duties: | Grill cook and fry foods such as chicken, french fries, etc, clean food preparation equipment work areas and counters or tables, take orders from customers and cook foods requiring short preparation times according to customer requirements, restock kitchen supplies, rotate food and stamp the time and date on food in coolers, plan work on orders so that items served together are finished at the same time, prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat etc, keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen to include washing dishes/utensils/stoves/floors , ensure all food and other items are stored properly, check quality of ingredients, monitor stock and place orders when there are shortages. |

Qualification Requirements: | High school diploma/GED required, a few months to 1 year proven experience as a Cook in the restaurant industry, experience in using cutting tools, cookware and bakeware, able to read and follow standardized recipes, required knowledge of proper food handling procedures, able to work as part of a team in a small busy kitchen atmosphere, culinary classes is a plus, Food Handlers Certification required. |
