Job Duties: | Prepare and cook food for restaurant customers. Ensure freshness of food and ingredients.Inspect, clean, wash food preparation areas, utensils and equipment & conform with sanitary handling practices. Weigh, measure, portion and garnish food. Create, plan and prepare new recipes and menus according to occasions or upon request of management. Participate with accounting in costing of new recipes.Participate and submit monthly inventory of ingredients and utensils. Ensure that food is stored at correct temperature. Do as instructed by Bureau of Health. Other related duties as directed by Manager. Receive and address complaints of restaurant patrons regarding preparation of food. Provide suggestion to Manager regarding ways to improve sales. Purchase ingredients needed by the kitchen. Instruct and teach kitchen helpers. Accept orders from waitstaff. |

Qualification Requirements: | Need anywhere from a few months to a year of work related experience as Cook in a reputable restaurant or hotel. Must be able to create, plan and prepare new recipes and menus. Must be able to do costing and knowledgeable on BEH regulations. Must pass medical examination in order to obtain a food handler certificate. Can work under pressure. Can work on weekends and holidays. |
