Job Title: Assistant Director of Food and Beverage
Job Duties: • Develops and implements an innovative business strategy to maximize revenue and productivity. • Monitors consumption and maximizes capacity of resources and equipment. • Coordinates with the kitchen to design menus and promotions and controls the purchasing, receiving and inventory. • Tours, inspects and monitors banquet rooms and presentations and inspects, monitors the banquets preparation and setup. • Provides feedbacks to guests’ recommendations and shares their ideas with staff and management and includes them in planning, operations and supervision, direction and leadership to the management team to achieve department goals. • Meets with function group leaders to determine last minute changes and discusses various set-up arrangements. • Interacts with internal staff and external guests from Asian and international countries. • Trains, supervises and works with all food and beverage staff, in order to solicit and book banquet and catering functions, as well as the planning, merchandising and execution of the functions. • Maintains detailed records on all training programs and submits written proficiency and progress reports to the F&B management, documenting in detail all trainings undertaken for the department. • To Implement standardized systems, operational tools or execute outlet audits • Implement operational strategies to ensure quality and productivity. • Adhere to the company policies and procedures and comply with the Code of Conduct. • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualification Requirements: • Minimum of 3 years of progressive F&B management experience in large, up-scale, high volume, multi-F&B outlet hotel environment and at least 2 years of experience in a 5 star(s) hotel or well-known property. • Degree holder in Business Administration, Hospitality or equivalent working experience. • Preferred ability to communicate in English and Mandarin; knowledge of Cantonese, Japanese and Korean is an advantage. • Ability to operate Microsoft Windows & Office software. • Must be able to manage several tasks simultaneously and maintain high standard of services. • Must have expertise in the application of adult learning principles in training delivery and creation of training programs and materials. • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels. • Comprehends budgets, operating statements and payroll progress reports to assist in the financial management of department is an advantage. • Must be a team-builder with outstanding coaching skills and innovative, creative and able to think outside the box. • Able to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment and focus attention on guest needs while remaining calm and courteous at all times. • Self-motivated, well-organized, responsible, friendly and polite with excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Team player who responds quickly to demands and thrives in a high-pressure work environment. • Able to multi-task.
