| Job Duties: | Responsible in performing the following duties for temporary help service clients operating in the hospitality industry: listening to, understanding, and translating spoken or written statements from one language to another. Reproduce statements in another language for unique listening or reading audience. Facilitate effective communication between two parties that do not speak a similar language by converting one spoken or written language to another. Convert written materials from one language into another, such as letters, speech, publications, documents, etc. Create a new text in the target language that reproduces the content and style of the original. Edit and proofread text to accurately reflect language. Employ computer-assisted translation. Facilitate communication for people with limited English proficiency. Accompany customers, foreign visitor and facilitate communication between receiving party and visitors. |

| Qualification Requirements: | Work experience in hotel or hospitality industry is a plus. Fluency in English, Chinese (Mandarin, Cantonese, Fukien, etc), Russian preferred. Interpreter/translator needs complete fluency in their working languages and the ability to instantly comprehend and convert one language into another. Interpreters also need a good understanding of spoken and colloquial language. In liaison and consecutive translation, a good memory is particularly helpful. Equally, excellent concentration and the ability to think quickly are essential. IT skills are also beneficial. |
