Job Title: | Chef De Partie (Head Cook) |
Job Duties: | Responsible for overseeing the production of western, Chinese, Japanese cuisine for restaurants and banquets. Prepare a wide variety of menu items, including rice, noodle, soup, vegetables, meat dishes, fish sauces, etc. Manages a small team of cooks, which are responsible for keeping organized so that meals go out on time and the work area remains clean and orderly. Prepare food using classic western, Chinese and Japanese methods while providing an entertaining experience to the presentation of the meal thru guest interaction and skills with various cooking utensils and pieces of equipment. Evaluate the quality of food products to ensure the maintenance of consistent quality standards. May decide on the prices of their dishes, determine the presentation of menu items, and plan menus. |

Qualification Requirements: | Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Have at least anywhere from a few months to a year of work experiences as a Commis Chef and experience to prepare international, Japanese, Chinese cuisines. Having work experience in a fine dining luxury hotel restaurant is preferred. Must be familiar or knowledgeable of food hygiene regulations (HACC) and have the ability to work in a fast paced and coping with high level of stressful environment. Flexible and willing to assist as need to ensure all restaurant standards are met. A team player and demonstrates excellent organizational skills. Have excellent interpersonal skills and confidence. Be able and willing to work in flexible shifts, days, evenings, weekend and holidays. Be able to stand for prolonged period of time and must possess friendly, integrity and good manners. |
