Job Duties: The General Manager directs all activities of export, import, and intermodal in an efficient manner for the desired quality and quantity of work, successful completion of relevant work processes, attention to KPI’s all with the aim of providing excellence in service to Principal and internal/external customers. Able to work independently. Prepare/execute required governmental and agency documents as required by various government agencies. Arrange various ship husbanding services, which includes, but not limited to, fueling of the ship, providing equipment or materials, arranging crew member trips, providing fresh water, working with tugs and pilots, paying necessary fees, making arrangement with contractors to do work on the ship and providing food provisions for the crew. Timely enter/code vendors and supplier's invoices, port checks and credit card payments into accounting system. Exercise high quality vendor service management and cost control. Prepare/transmit estimated and final port costs. Prepare hazardous cargo manifest and shipper's hazardous declaration in accordance with 49 Code of Federal Regulations Parts 100-185. Prepare equipment inventory report. Prepare inbound and outbound cargo documents. Prepare statement of facts of vessel operations. handle cargo claims. Communicate with principals/customers, marine vessel's Master, port authority, and appropriate government authorities to ensure smooth arrival and departure of vessels. Manage Information System, will act as Super User, coordinate matters with IT Team.

Qualification Requirements: High school diploma required, Bachelor Degree is highly preferred. • Must have 8-10 years latest experience in ship husbanding services and liner services • Valid proof of prior management experience is required. • Demonstrated leadership and team management skills. • Strong understanding of transportation industry, particularly on International Shipment cost drivers. • Good verbal and written communication skills. • Able to work 24/7 on call. • Must be able to lift 35 kilograms or 70.00 pounds • Must have own vehicle • Must be able to assist and conduct sea-boarding clearances and requirements at open sea. • With accounting background needed for Ship Services • Strong knowledge for inbound and outbound documentation, claims handling and equipment control. • Must be able to read, prepare stow plans, using vessel stow programs in line with ships system and vessel planner system. • Able to work well under both time and accuracy pressures. • Able to deal with people of different personalities and nationalities. • Strong trouble shooting skills. Tact and diplomacy in handling sensitive situations. • Able to exercise sound independent judgment. Detail oriented. • Mathematical aptitude. Able to write neatly and legibly. Follow through skills. • Must have a full detail knowledge on Maintenance and Repair of Intermodal equipment (ie container/s chassis and generator sets), to include parts and labor costing, with technical knowledge for downloading reefer temperature reports and generator reports. • Must be able to relate with individuals at all levels of an organization. • Organizational and time management skills - multi-tasking and prioritizing, planning work activities efficiently to meet deadlines and high-level goals. • Good Influencing, Conflict Resolution and Negotiation skills. • Drive for Results – Drives for results and success, conveys a sense of urgency and drives issues to closure, persists despite obstacles and opposition. • Team player – Works together with others in the business unit to achieve results, fosters teamwork. • Customer / Solutions focused. Proven ability to deliver even under pressure, especially under tight time constraints. Background in Finance is a plus. • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, and Power Point). including but not limited to the ff. system: 1. DRAYMAN • Must be familiar with: • Title 29, 33 and 49 of Code of Federal Regulations • International Maritime Organization Regulations • Institute of International Container Lessor • USCBP Regulation • Port Tariff and Regulation • And other related Tariff and Regulation with respect to the industry.
