| Job Duties: | Installs, maintains, and repairs machinery and refrigeration equipment, physical structures, pipe and electrical system in commercial or industrial establishments, following specifications, blueprints, manuals and schematic drawings, using handtools, power tools, hoist, crane, and measuring and testing instruments: visually inspects and test machinery and equipment, using electrical and electronic test equipment. Listens for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discusses machine operation variations with supervisor or other maintenance workers to diagnoses problems or repair machine. Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts, following specifications and blueprints, using precision measuring instruments and handtools. Obtain and maintain required certifications. Comply with all applicable standard, policies, and procedures including safety procedures and the maintenance of a clean work area. Record and report all faults, deficiencies, and other unusual occurrences, as well as the time and materials expended on work orders and other duties as needed. |
