| Job Duties: | Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in outgoing and incoming shipments. Responsible in the entire office shipping operation such as coordinating with airlines, cargo handlers, shippers and consignees. Plans and directs loading and unloading of cargoes to designated concourse, warehouse, freight station or track. Insures airlines space availability such as booking and confirmations. Routes outbound freight to their destination to include monitoring and tracking. Insures and reviews related shipping documents accordingly. Does customer service, answers every inquires regarding schedules, transit points and rates. Prepares reports related to air and sea forwarding, communicating and sending messages to the consignees and to the shippers. Make coordination with other station. Works on holidays and or flexible time as required. Operates computer programs proficiently. Prepare and send shipping data thru electronics data information (EDI) on a timely manner. Responsible in identifications, classifications, handling, transporting, packaging, labeling and documenting dangerous goods. Responsible in implementing Transporation Security Administration (TSA)cargo security regualtions. Does other related duties usual to freight forwarding business. |
