Job Title: Director - Wardrobe & Laundry
Job Duties: •Ensures efficient and effective functioning of Wardrobe and Laundry departments. •Ensures compliance of minimum service and product standards set by the company. •Ensures Standard Operating Procedures of Wardrobe and Laundry are developed or regularly reviewed and updated according to operational needs and in compliance with company policies and manuals.•Ensures that Wardrobe and Laundry departments maintain high level of effective, efficient and professional service according to the hotel Standard Operating Procedures.•Pioneer the uniform design and production for the pre-opening / post-opening and replenishment orders that includes garments, footwear, millineries and accessories. •Prepares annual budget for Wardrobe and Laundry, participates in hotels annual budgetary planning.•Manages expenses effectively through careful planning of needs, review of purchase orders and manning requirements.•Participates in revenue management meetings to ensure laundry department support hotels sales, revenue and profitability targets.•Reviews departmental programs and development plans to groom future department heads and divisional leaders.•Develops KPIs Wardrobe and Laundry department heads and asst. department heads, in line with corporate and hotel KPI goals and reviews performance against goals periodically.•Recruits and trains Wardrobe & Laundry department heads and assistant department heads.•Coaches, counsels and guides Wardrobe & Laundry department heads or any other staff, where necessary.•Carries out Performance Appraisals for Wardrobe & Laundry department heads fairly and in a timely manner.•Direct and oversee the whole uniform designs flow from creating and visualizing an idea by computer-aided drawing (CAD) to a ready-to-wear item through managing the professional fabrication development, such as producing patterns, grading, draping, cutting and sewing from prototype making to mass production, that include fitting, detailing and adaptations.•Identify and target areas in which wardrobe & Laundry can improve operation. Implement operational strategies to ensure quality and productivity. •Oversee the sourcing, selecting and buying of fabrics and material trims, fastenings and embellishments by understanding the specification and function of the material fulfill the appearance, operation and safety needs. •Oversee uniform manufacturing process, production schedule and quality control, ensure to deliver high quality services in a dynamic manner.•Adhere to the company policies and procedures and comply with code of conducts•Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualification Requirements: •At least 3 years of experience in a high managerial position of wardrobe and laundry departments in a casino hotel/resort •Bachelor’s degree in Art / design or business related discipline. •Have a clear understanding of the uniform design development process and laundry operation process.•Familiar with Asian casino markets & environments •Equivalent professional training is preferred. •Excellent interpersonal / presentation and communication skills. •Experience in managing budgets, revenue proposals and forecasting results. •Strong leadership skills to effectively manage and motivate the team to achieve high level of performance and exceed targets •Responsible self-starter, capable of handling multi-faced projects and of working under pressure. •Proactive and innovative problem solver •Proficiency in MS Office: Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint •Proficiency in Design Software such as Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign •Team player, who values teamwork, has good team building skills and is able to communicate effectively with all levels of employees •Able to work on flexible shifts including overnight, weekends and holidays on rotation basis as needed•Fluent in English •Ability to speak Cantonese or Mandarin is an advantage •Self-motivated, well-organized, responsible, friendly and polite with excellent communication and interpersonal skills •Team player who responds quickly to demands and thrives in a high-pressure work environment. •Able to multi-task.

Comments: (1) EMPLOYMENT BASIS & DURATION This job opportunity is for a temporary, full-time position. (2) WORK HOURS Employees hired under this announcement will work on full time employment forty (40) hours per week. Work hours start from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday to Friday. (3)THREE-FOURTHS GUARANTEE Workers will be offered employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least three fourths of the workdays of the total period that begins with the first workday after the arrival of the worker at the place of employment or the advertised contractual fist date of need, whichever is later, and ends on the expiration date specified in the work contract or in its extensions, if any. (4) INBOUND/OUTBOUND TRANSPORTATION AND SUBSISTENCE The Employer shall pay for all inbound transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract, or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for worker’s reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker’s voluntary abandonment of employment. (5) FIRST WORK WEEK REIMBURSEMENT Workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (except passport fees). (6) PROVISION OF TOOLS, SUPPLIES AND EQUIPMENT The employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job. Furthermore, the employer will supply workers at no charge all safety clothing and equipment and will require all workers to wear such clothing and equipment always during work. (7) HOUSING The employer will provide optional housing at $25.00 per week, during the employment. (8)The employees will be provided one (1) duty meal per day at no expense for the duration of the employment.
