Job Duties: | Receive,store, and issue sales floor merchandise. Stock shelves,racks,cases,bins, and tables with merchandise and arrange merchandise display to attract customers. Periodically take physical count of stock or check merchandise. Answer customers questions about merchandise and advice customers on merchandise selection.Take inventory or examine merchandise to identify items to be reordered or replenished. Pack customer purchase in bags or cartons.Stock shelves,racks,case,bins,and tables with new or transferred merchandise.Arrange properties,furniture,merchandise,backdrops and accessories.Receive,open,unpack and issue sales floor merchandise.Transport packages to customer's vehicle or deliver it to specified location.clean display cases,shelves,and aisles.Compare merchandise invoices to items actually received to ensure that shipments are correct.Requisition merchandise from supplier based on available space,merchandise on hand,customers demand, or advertised special.Stamp,attach,or change price tags on merchandise,referring to price list.Design and set up advertising sign and displays of merchandise on shelves,counter,or tables to attract customers and promote sales. |
