Job Title: Landscaper
Job Duties: Landscaping, maintaining all plants, including indoor plants. Cleaning exterior and outdoor areas of the hotel. Trash collection from all facilities. Supporting all functions such as tents, posting promotional material, fireworks, etc. Gather and remove litter. Use hand tools, such as shovels, rakes, pruning saws, saws, hedge or brush trimmers, or axes. Operate vehicles or powered equipment, such as mowers, chain-saws, electric clippers, sod cutters, or pruning saws. Water lawns, trees, or plants, using portable sprinkler systems, hoses, or watering cans. Prune or trim trees, shrubs, or hedges, using shears, pruners, or chain saws. Mix and spray or spread fertilizers, herbicides, or insecticides onto grass, shrubs, or trees, using hand or automatic sprayers or spreaders. Care for established lawns by mulching, aerating, weeding, grubbing, removing thatch, or trimming or edging around flower beds, walks, or walls. Follow planned landscaping designs to determine where to lay sod, sow grass, or plant flowers or foliage. Trim or pick flowers and clean flower beds. Attach wires from planted trees to support stakes. Plant seeds, bulbs, foliage, flowering plants, grass, ground covers, trees, or shrubs and apply mulch for protection, using gardening tools. Mow or edge lawns, using power mowers or edgers. Rake, mulch, and compost leaves. Decorate gardens with stones or plants. Use irrigation methods to adjust the amount of water consumption and to prevent waste. Provide proper upkeep of sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, fountains, planters, or other grounds features. Shovel snow from walks, driveways, or parking lots and spread salt in those areas. Plan or cultivate lawns or gardens. Maintain or repair tools, equipment, or structures, such as buildings, greenhouses, fences, or benches, using hand or power tools. Install rock gardens, ponds, decks, drainage systems, irrigation systems, retaining walls, fences, planters, or playground equipment. Haul or spread topsoil or spread straw over seeded soil to hold soil in place.

Comments: WORLD CORPORATION dba SAIPAN WORLD RESORT is looking to fill one (1) LANDSCAPER position in Saipan, Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands. Work will be performed only at SAIPAN WORLD RESORT, Susupe, Beach Road, Saipan, Northern Mariana Islands. This is a TEMPORARY, full-time position and we are looking to fill the job opening for employment from 10/01/2019 to 09/30/2022. Terms & Conditions of Employment: Worker will be paid no less than $7.51 per hour. Overtime will be paid at a rate of 1.5 times base hourly rate. The employer will offer 40 hours of work per week, depending on weather conditions. Work on weekends may be required. Hourly work schedule is 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Transportation: The employer will not provide daily transportation to and from the worksite locations in Saipan. If the worker completes 50 percent of the work contract period, the employer will reimburse the worker for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for the worker’s reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker’s voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Board, Lodging, or Other Facilities: The employer will not provide board, lodging, or other facilities. Tools Equipment & Supplies: The employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job. Three-Fourths Guarantee: The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period. Miscellaneous: The employer will use a single workweek as its standard for computing wages due. Workers will be paid bi-weekly by check. The employer will make all the payroll deductions from the worker’s paycheck required by federal and local law and will not make any deductions which are not required by law. The employer will not provide on-the-job training.
