Job Title: | Housekeeping Supervisor |
Job Duties: | Plan and prepare employee work schedules. Coordinate activities with other departments to ensure that services are provided in an efficient and timely manner. Inspect work performed to ensure that it meets specifications and established standards. Perform or assist with cleaning duties as necessary. Confer with staff to resolve performance and personnel problems, and to discuss company policies. Establish and implement operational standards and procedures for the departments supervised. Investigate complaints about service and equipment, and take corrective action. Maintain required records of work hours, budgets, payrolls, and other information. Inspect and evaluate the physical condition of facilities to determine the type of work required. Check and maintain equipment to ensure that it is in working order. Instruct staff in work policies and procedures, and the use and maintenance of equipment. Inventory stock to ensure that supplies and equipment are available in adequate amounts. Select and order or purchase new equipment, supplies, or furnishings. Prepare reports on activity, personnel, and information, such as occupancy, hours worked, facility usage, work performed, and departmental expenses. Recommend changes that could improve service and increase operational efficiency. Select the most suitable cleaning materials for different types of linens, furniture, flooring, and surfaces. Screen job applicants, and hire new employees. Issue supplies and equipment to workers. Recommend or arrange for additional services, such as painting, repair work, renovations, and the replacement of furnishings and equipment. Forecast necessary levels of staffing and stock at different times to facilitate effective scheduling and ordering. Evaluate employee performance and recommend personnel actions, such as promotions, transfers, and dismissals. Direct activities for stopping the spread of infections in facilities, such as hospitals. Advise managers, desk clerks, or admitting personnel of rooms ready for occupancy. Supervise in-house services, such as laundries, maintenance and repair, dry cleaning, or valet services. Perform other related duties as assigned. |

Qualification Requirements: | Must be a High School graduate. Must have 12 months work experience. Must have knowledge in principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction. Must have knowledge in administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology. Must have knowledge in business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources. Must be reliable, responsible, and dependable, and fulfilling obligations. Must be honest and ethical. Must be careful about detail and thorough in completing work tasks. Must be willing to lead, take charge, and offer opinions and direction. Must have computer skills (use excel, word, outlook). Must be flexible with work schedule. Must be able to handle split shift schedule. |

Comments: | This job opportunity is a temporary, full-time position. Work days will be Monday-Sunday, (two days-off) and work hours will be 8am to 5pm. With this position the employer also offers the three-fourths guarantee as required by 20 CFR 655.423(f) where in three fourths is defined as an offer to workers full-time employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays of each 12- week period (or 6-week period if the employment covered by the job is less than 120 days.) Transportation and Subsistence: If the Employee completes 50 percent of the work contract, the employer will provide or reimburse the worker’s transportation and subsistence costs from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Outbound transportation and subsistence costs will be paid by Employer if the Employee completes the work period covered by the work contract or where the worker dismissed earlier.
