Job Duties: Compile information and records to draw up purchase orders for procurement of materials and services. Perform buying duties when necessary. See more occupations related to this task. Prepare purchase orders and send copies to suppliers and to departments originating requests. See more occupations related to this task. Compare suppliers' bills with bids and purchase orders to verify accuracy. See more occupations related to this task. Prepare, maintain, and review purchasing files, reports and price lists. Qualification Requirements: 12 months of experience as a Supply Specialist I is required. Have at least 15 College Credits, be able to occasionally lift office products and supplies up to 50 lbs.

Comments: NORTHERN MARIANAS COLLEGE is looking to fill one (1) SUPPLY SPECIALIST I position in Saipan, Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands. Work will be performed only at Northern Marianas College, As Terlaje Campus, Saipan, Northern Mariana Islands. This is a TEMPORARY, full-time position and we are looking to fill the job opening for employment from 12/01/2019 to 09/30/2020. Terms & Conditions of Employment: Worker will be paid no less than $12.79 per hour. Overtime will be paid at a rate of 1.5 times base hourly rate. The employer will offer 40 hours of work per week, depending on weather conditions. Work on weekends may be required. Hourly work schedule is 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Transportation: The employer will not provide daily transportation to and from the worksite locations in Saipan. If the worker completes 50 percent of the work contract period, the employer will reimburse the worker for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for the worker’s reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker’s voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Board, Lodging, or Other Facilities: The employer will not provide board, lodging, or other facilities. Tools Equipment & Supplies: The employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job. Three-Fourths Guarantee: The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period. Miscellaneous: The employer will use a single workweek as its standard for computing wages due. Workers will be paid bi-weekly by check. The employer will make all the payroll deductions from the worker’s paycheck required by federal and local law and will not make any deductions which are not required by law. The employer will provide on-the-job training.
