Job Title: Heating, Air conditioning & Refrigeration Mechanics &Installers
Job Duties: Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Install and repair air conditioning, refrigeration and heating equipments such as air conditioners, refrigerators, freezers and water heaters using gauges, adjustable wrench, tester, soldering iron, portable torch, flaring tools, recovery machine and screw drivers. 2. Perform routine maintenance on equipment such as air conditioners, refrigerators, freezers and water heaters. 3. Inspect or troubleshoot equipments to determine if they are properly operating using gauges and testers. 4. Disassemble equipment to inspect for deficiencies and reassemble after repair. 5. Adjust valves according to specifications and charge system with proper type of refrigerant by pumping the specified gas or fluid into the refrigerator, air conditioner, or freezer. 6. Test power line supply and control board for leaks. 7. Braze, solder or weld copper pipe/metal parts or components. 8. Repair or replace worn, damaged or defective mechanical parts. 9. Install expansion and control valves, using acetylene torches and wrenches. 10. Install wiring to connect components to an electrical power source. 11. Mount compressor, condenser, and other components in specified locations on frames using hand tools and acetylene welding equipment. 12. Cut, bend thread and connect pipe to functional components and water, power or refrigeration system. 13. Read blueprints to determine location, size, capacity and type of components needed to build refrigeration or air conditioning system. 14. Lay out reference points for installation of structural and functional components, using measuring instruments. 15. Drill holes and install mounting brackets if required. 16. Insulate shells and cabinets of systems. 17. Lift and align air conditioning and refrigeration units into position using carts or hoists. 18. Estimate labor and parts costs. 19. Submit reports to Operation Manager of daily tasks accomplished pending tasks that needs to be accomplished.
High School Diploma Required? Yes
Qualification Requirements: High School Graduate or equivalent. At least 6 months training on A/C and Refrigeration repair and installation. At least 2 years work experience as Heating, Air Conditioning, Refrigeration Mechanic & Installer. Must be knowledgeable on Ref, A/C tools and materials. Must be able to read building plans, sketches and blue prints. Must have above average or general understanding of building wiring. Must be able to lift 50 lbs and above. Must be able to work in confined and open spaces exposed to extreme heat, dirt or noise. Must be able to stand, squat and sit for long periods of time. Must be able to read, write, add, divide, subtract and multiply.

Required tools, supplies and Equipment to be provided: TOOLS will be provided by the employer without cost or charge to the employee. THREE FOURTHS GUARANTEE: The Employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three fourths of the workdays in each 12- week period of the total employment period. TRANSPORTATION: Inbound transportation & subsistence costs from point of origin will be paid by the Employer, if the Employee complete 50 percent of the work contract. Outbound transportation & subsistence costs will be paid by Employer if the Employee completes the work period covered by the work contract. See US Labor ETA 20CFR 655.423(j)(1).
