Job Duties: | Job Summary The Sales Associates reports to the Store Team Leader and is responsible for providing the customers with a positive, memorable shopping experience by providing excellent customer service and achieve their individual goals. Duties and Responsibilities • Greets Customers as they enter and exit our store. • Provides product information and assists customers in selection. • Provides Excellent Customer Service. • Communicates promotions and special discounts to customers. • Sells merchandise directly to the customer utilizing general sales techniques. • Maintains displays in a neat, clean and orderly fashion. Dusts and cleans fixtures as needed. • Under the direction of the Team Leader, replenishes stock, displays merchandise and take periodic stock counts of merchandise as scheduled. • Participates in scheduled inventories. • Protects company assets. Reports any unusual activity to the Shop Team Leader, Store Manager or Hotel Security. • Processes transactions accurately. • Obtains Store Team Leader approval for all discounts. • Obtains required approval for Traveler’s Checks and Credit Cards. • Obtains Store Team Leader approval for all returns, exchanges, and refunds. • Handles customer complaints with professionalism and courtesy. • Accurate handling of cash. • Achieve Key Item Targets on a monthly basis. • Participates in company sponsored training as required. • Reports to work in uniform. • Promotes the Travelr Shop image by presenting oneself in a clean, neat and professional manner. • Identifies with management and supports its policies and objectives. • Maintains an effective working relationship with the Travelr Shop staff and other hotel employees, and demonstrates a positive attitude • Performs other related duties as assigned. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as Point of Sale systems, phones, computers, photocopiers, filing cabinets and other related equipment. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Supervisory Responsibilities This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Regular Expected Hours of Work Sales Associate may work more or less than 40 hours per week, depending on business operations and hotel occupancy. This position requires schedule flexibility. The Company may require the employee to work days, nights, weekends and holidays.
