Job Title: Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning Service Technician
Job Duties: Test pipe or tubing joints or connections for leaks, using pressure gauge or soap-and-water solution. Test electrical circuits or components for continuity, using electrical test equipment. Repair or replace defective equipment, components, or wiring. Discuss heating or cooling system malfunctions with users to isolate problems or to verify that repairs corrected malfunctions. Repair or service heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems to improve efficiency, such as by changing filters, cleaning ducts, or refilling non-toxic refrigerants. Green Task Statement Install, connect, or adjust thermostats, humidistats, or timers. Connect heating or air conditioning equipment to fuel, water, or refrigerant source to form complete circuit.
High School Diploma Required? Yes
Qualification Requirements: Education: minimum U.S. diploma/degree required. 24 months work experience. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Experience in installing, servicing, and repairing air conditioning & refrigeration systems in residence and commercial establishments. Comply with all applicable standards, policies, and procedures, including safety procedures and the maintenance of a clean work area. Must be able to work flexible hours. Performing routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed. Installing equipment, machines, wiring, or programs to meet specifications. Conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance. Determining causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it. Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly. Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.

Comments: The job opportunity is a temporary, full-time position commencing on October 1, 2020 to September 30, 2023 THREE-FOURTHS GUARANTEE: Workers will be offered employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least three fourths of the workdays of the total period that begins with the first workday after the arrival of the worker at the place of employment or the advertised contractual first date of need, whichever is later, and ends on the expiration date specified in the work contract or in its extensions, if any. TRANSPORTATION AND SUBSISTENCE: If the worker completes 50 percent of the work contract period, the employer will provide, reimburse, or advance payment for the worker's transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for the worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker's voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved.
