Job Title: SOUS CHEF
Job Duties: Assist in the management of the kitchens daily operations, monitor consumption and maximize capacity of resources and equipment, create weekly executive set lunch, monthly, promotional and seasonal menus in cooperation with the Chef de Cuisine. Monitor regular standards of production to ensure highest level of quality, monitor all aspects pertaining to the control of the hotels food cost, participate in the drafting of concept ideas and menus for all special events and functions while encouraging all employees to put forward their ideas and utilizing them wherever practical Ensure the kitchen and utensils are clean and hygienic, deliver high quality products to every guest, address guests requests and handle complaints promptly and to their satisfaction, provide feedback to guests recommendations and share their ideas with staff and management. Train, coach, motivate, counsel and evaluate kitchen staff, conduct departmental training & monitor staff daily performance, test and correct any deviations from service procedures swiftly through on the job training. Assess food quality standards and arrange training sessions and refresher courses for kitchen staff in coordination with the Food & Beverage Training Manager, promote a work environment where employees feel valued, appreciated, involved, equal and safe, suggest creative ideas to enhance the kitchens image and offering. Attend department and inter-department meetings and share relevant information, remain well-mannered and well-groomed as per department and company standards, follow health and safety standards and strive for constant improvement to avoid health and injury hazards. Participate in the company recycling program and follow a strict discipline to reduce, reuse and recycle whenever possible, interact with department and team members, management, and contractors professionally and positively, encourage good relationships, promote team spirit, and ensure effective two-way and multicultural communications. Adhere to the company policies and procedures and comply with the Code of Conduct. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualification Requirements: Minimum of 2 years supervisory culinary experience in a four (4) or five (5) star hotel environment or well-known properties kitchen Flexible to work in all hotels outlet kitchen as needed. Must be able to stand/sit for long periods of time. Computer literate, Basic knowledge MS Office is required. High School Diploma /GED. Ability to communicate in English Knowledge of Mandarin, Cantonese, Japanese or Korean is an advantage. Excellent product knowledge of international cuisines and pricing of supplies understanding of HACCP standards and guidelines. Excellent leadership and supervisory abilities. Able to work on shifts and be flexible regarding work schedules according to business demand. Able to multi-task. Able to lift heavy objects properly with minimum of 40 lbs as operation needed. Employees hired under this announcement will work on full time employment thirty-five (35) hours per week. There are three rotating shifts per day from Monday to Sunday: (A) Day Shift will be from 6:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. (B) Swing Shift will be from 2:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. (C) Night Shift will be from 10:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m.

Comments: [1] EMPLOYMENT BASIS & DURATION: This job opportunity is for a temporary, full-time position. [2] WORK HOURS: Employees hired under this announcement will work on full time employment thirty-five (35) hours per week. [3] THREE-FOURTHS GUARANTEE: Workers will be offered employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least three fourths of the workdays of the total period that begins with the first workday after the arrival of the worker at the place of employment or the advertised contractual fist date of need, whichever is later, and ends on the expiration date specified in the work contract or in its extensions, if any. [4] INBOUND/OUTBOUND TRANSPORTATION AND SUBSISTENCE: The Employer shall pay for all inbound transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract, or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for worker’s reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker’s voluntary abandonment of employment. [5] FIRST WORK WEEK REIMBURSEMENT: Workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (except passport fees). [6] TOOLS, SUPPLIES & EQUIPMENT: Workers will be provided at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job. Furthermore, workers will be supplied at no charge all safety clothing and equipment. Company will require all workers to wear such clothing and equipment always during work. [7] HOUSING: The employer will provide optional housing at $25.00 per week, during the employment. [8] EMPLOYEE MEAL: The employees will be provided one (1) duty meal per day at no expense for the duration of the employment.
