Job Title: COMBINED FOOD PREPARATION AND SERVING WORKERS
Job Duties: PERFORM DUTIES WHICH COMBINE PREPARING AND SERVING FOOD AND NONALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES. COMMUNICATE WITH CUSTOMERS REGARDING ORDERS, COMMENTS, AND COMPLAINTS. ACCEPT PAYMENT FROM CUSTOMERS, AND MAKE CHANGE AS NECESSARY. REQUEST AND RECORD CUSTOMER ORDERS, AND COMPUTE BILLS USING CASH REGISTERS, MULTI COUNTING MACHINES, OR PENCIL AND PAPER. PREPARE DAILY FOOD ITEMS, AND COOK SIMPLE FOODS AND BEVERAGES, SUCH AS SANDWICHES, SALADS, SOUPS, PIZZA, OR COFFEE, USING PROPER SAFETY PRECAUTIONS AND SANITARY MEASURES. CLEAN AND ORGANIZE EATING, SERVICE, AND KITCHEN AREAS. MONITOR AND ORDER SUPPLIES OR FOOD ITEMS AND RESTOCK AS NECESSARY TO MAINTAIN INVENTORY. SERVE CUSTOMERS IN EATING PLACES THAT SPECIALIZE IN FAST SERVICE AND INEXPENSIVE CARRY-OUT FOOD. WASH DISHES, GLASSWARE, AND SILVERWARE AFTER MEALS.
High School Diploma Required? Yes
Qualification Requirements: Minimum of 3 months job experience. *KNOWLEDGE OF SUPPLIES, EQUIPMENT, AND/OR SERVICES ORDERING AND INVENTORY CONTROL. * ABILITY TO FOLLOW ROUTINE VERBAL AND WRITTEN INSTRUCTIONS. * ABILITY TO READ AND WRITE. * ABILITY TO UNDERSTAND AND FOLLOW SAFETY PROCEDURES. * ABILITY TO SAFELY USE CLEANING EQUIPMENT AND SUPPLIES. * ABILITY TO LIFT AND MANIPULATE HEAVY OBJECTS OF UP TO 15 LBS. * KNOWLEDGE OF FOOD SERVICE LINES SET-UP AND TEMPERATURE REQUIREMENTS. * SKILL IN COOKING AND PREPARING A VARIETY OF FOODS. * KNOWLEDGE OF FOOD PREPARATION AND PRESENTATION METHODS, TECHNIQUES, AND QUALITY STANDARDS. *MUST BE ABLE TO OBTAIN FOOD HANDLER CERTIFICATION (FOR RENEWAL ONLY, NEW EMPLOYMENT IS NOT REQUIRED) *MUST BE ABLE TO WORK ON FLEXIBLE HOURS INCLUDING WEEKENDS, HOLIDAYS AND NIGHT SHIFTS. *MUST AGREE TO A POST-OFFER, PRE-EMPLOYMENT DRUG SCREENING TEST. DRUG SCREENING TEST WHICH WILL APPLY EQUALLY TO U.S. WORKERS AND CW-1 WORKERS.
