Job Duties: | Inspects and cleans food preparation areas, such as equipment and work surfaces, or serving areas to ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practices. Ensures food is stored and cooked at correct temperature by regulating temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters. Ensures freshness of food and ingredients by checking for quality, keeping track of old and new items, and rotating stock. Turns or stir foods to ensure even cooking. Seasons and cooks food according to recipes or personal judgment and experience. Bakes, roasts, broils, and steams meats, fish, vegetables, and other foods. Weighs, measures, and mixes ingredients according to recipes or personal judgment, using various kitchen utensils and equipment. Washes, peels, cuts, and seeds fruits and vegetables to prepare them for consumption. Ensure the proper sanitation and personal hygiene specific to health department, regulations and standards. Portions, arranges, and garnishes food, and serves food to patrons. Operate kitchen equipment safely and responsibly. Observes and tests food to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently, using methods such as tasting, smelling, or piercing them with utensils. Performs other related duties as assigned. |

Qualification Requirements: | High School diploma or equivalent. Twelve months work experience. Knowledge and experience in hotel/resort as a cook is an advantage. Able to quickly memorize complex or multiple orders. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10-25 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. |

Comments: | This a temporary, full-time position of at least 35 hours per work week with employment period beginning October 1, 2020 to September 30, 2021. THREE-FOURTHS GUARANTEE for Employment offered is for a total number of work hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays of the total period of employment specified in the work contract, beginning with the first workday after the arrival of the worker at the place of employment or the advertised contractual first date of need, whichever is later, and ending on the expiration date specified in the work contract or in its extensions, if any. Frequency of pay: Bi-weekly, subjected to mandatory payroll tax deduction required by law (20 CFR 655.423(h). Deductions: Employer provided housing is optional for the cost of $100.00 per month (20 CFR 655.423(f)). Transportation and subsistence will be provided to the worker from the place of origin to the place of employment. Upon conclusion of the job opportunity, employer will provide the return transportation and substance to the place of origin or place of recruitment (20 CFR 655.423(k)(1)). Employer-Provided Tools and Equipment: Workers will be provided, without charge or deposit charge, all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the duties assigned (20 CFR 655.423(K)). This is a non-exempt position and is eligible to receive overtime compensation in accordance to The Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
