| Job Duties: | Cut, trim and shape hair or hairpieces, based on customers'instructions, hair type and facial features, using clippers, scissors, trimmers and razors. Bleach, dye, or tint hair, using applicator or brush. Schedule client appointments. Update and maintain customer information records, such as beauty services provided. Demonstrate and sell hair care products and cosmetics. Analyze patrons' hair and other physical features to determine and recommend beauty treatment or suggest hair styles. Shampoo, rinse, condition, and dry hair and scalp or hairpieces with water, liquid soap, or other solutions. Operate cash registers to receive payments from patrons. Order, display, and maintain supplies. Comb, brush, and spray hair or wigs to set style. Develop new styles and techniques. Apply water, setting, straightening or waving solutions to hair and use curlers, rollers, hot combs and curling irons to press and curl hair. Shape eyebrows and remove facial hair, using depilatory cream, tweezers, electrolysis or wax. Shave, trim, and shape beards and mustaches. Massage and treat scalp for hygienic and remedial purposes, using hands, fingers, or vibrating equipment. Administer therapeutic medication and advise patron to seek medical treatment for chronic or contagious scalp conditions. Recommend and explain the use of cosmetics, lotions, and creams to soften and lubricate skin and enhance and restore natural appearance. Clean, shape, and polish fingernails and toenails, using files and nail polish. Apply artificial fingernails. Give facials to patrons, using special compounds, such as lotions and creams. Keep work stations clean and sanitize tools, such as scissors and combs. |

| Qualification Requirements: | REQUIRED CERTIFICATE, TRAINING IN VOCATIONAL SCHOOLS, RELATED ON-THE-JOB EXPERIENCE, OR AN ASSOCIATE'S DEGREE PROGRAM IN COSMETOLOGY OR RELATED FIELD; PREVIOUS WORK-RELATED SKILL, KNOWLEDGE, OR EXPERIENCE; AND TWO YEARS OF ON-THE-JOB EXPERIENCE AND INFORMAL TRAINING WITH EXPERIENCED WORKERS. KNOWLEDGE OF PRINCIPLES AND PROCESSES FOR PROVIDING CUSTOMER AND PERSONAL SERVICES. THIS INCLUDES CUSTOMER NEEDS ASSESSMENT, MEETING QUALITY STANDARDS FOR SERVICES, AND EVALUATION OF CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. |

OVERTIME PAY WILL BE AVAILABLE TO THE WORKER AT A RATE X 1.5 OF THE HOURLY RATE OFFERED AS PER PREVAILING WAGE OBTAINED. JOB BEING OFFERED IS TEMPORARY OR UP TO SEPT. 30, 2021, ONLY BUT FULL-TIME IS REQUIRED WITH ANTICIPATED START OF EMPLOYMENT ON OCT. 1, 2020. THREE-FOURTHS OF THE JOB OFFER IS GUARANTEED AS REQUIRED BY 20 CFR 655.423(f). EMPLOYER WILL PROVIDE OR PAY THE WORKER REASONABLE COSTS OF RETURN TRANSPORTATION AND SUBSISTENCE BACK TO THEIR POINT OF ORIGIN UPON COMPLETION OR EVEN 50 PERCENT COMPLETION OF THE WORK CONTRACT PERIOD.
