Job Title: Building Maintenance
Job Duties: Perform work involving the skills of two or more maintenance or craft occupations to keep machines, mechanical equipment or the structure of an establishment in repair. Duties may involve pipe fitting, boiler making, insulating, welding, machining, carpentry, repairing electrical or mechanical equipment, installing aligning, and balancing new equipment and repairing buildings, floor or stair. Repair machines equipment or structures using tools such as hammer, hoist, saws, drills, wrenches or equipment such as precision measuring instruments or electrical or electronic testing devices. Assemble, install or repair wiring, electrical or electronic components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery or equipment. Plan and lay out repair work using diagram, drawings, blueprints, maintenance manuals, or schematic diagrams. Perform general cleaning of buildings or properties. Paint or repair roofs, windows, doors, floors, woodwork, plaster drywall, or other parts of building structures.

Qualification Requirements: Education: minimum U.S. Diploma/degree.* HIGH SCHOOL/GED. Work Experience: number of months required - 12 MONTHS. Previous work related skill, knowledge, or experience is required for these occupation. Performing maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed. Repairing machines or system using need tools. Plan and layout repair work using drawings, blueprints. Perform repair of buildings or properties such as doors,floors,windows, plaster,paint,electrical,pipe fittings. Knowledgeable how to use power and hand tools.

Comments: The job opportunity is a TEMPORARY, full-time position commencing December 1, 2020 to September 30, 2021. Terms & Three-Fourths Guarantee: Workers will be offered employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least three fourths of the workdays of the total period that begins with the first workday after the arrival of the worker at the place of employment or the advertised contractual first date of need, whichever is later, and ends on the expiration date specified in the work contract or its extension, if any. Transportation and Subsistence: If the worker completes 50 percent of the work contract period, the employer will provide, reimburse or advance payment for the worker’s transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for the worker’s reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker’s voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily Transportation: Workers will be provided with daily transportation to and from the worksite. Board, Lodging, or Other Facilities: Workers will be provided with board, lodging or other facilities and/or employer will assist workers in securing board, lodging or other facilities. Tools Equipment & Supplies: The employer will provide workers at no charge all tools supplies, and equipment required to perform the job. Miscellaneous: The employer will use a single workweek as its standard for computing wages due. Workers will be paid bi-weekly by check. The employer will make all the payroll deductions from the worker’s paycheck required by Local CNMI and Federal Tax law. The Employer will NOT provide worker On-the –Job training for this position.
