Job Title: Heating, Air conditioning & Refrigeration Mechanics &Installers
Job Duties: 1. Install and repair air conditioning, refrigeration and heating equipment such as air conditioners, refrigerators, freezers and water heaters using gauges, adjustable wrench, tester, soldering iron, portable torch, flaring tools, recovery machine and screw drivers. 2. Perform routine maintenance on equipment such as air conditioners, refrigerators, freezers and water heaters. 3. Inspect or troubleshoot equipment to determine if they are properly operating using gauges and testers. 4. Disassemble equipment to inspect for deficiencies and reassemble after repair. 5. Adjust valves according to specifications and charge system with proper type of refrigerant by pumping the specified gas or fluid into the refrigerator, air conditioner, or freezer. 6. Test power line supply and control board for leaks. 7. Braze, solder or weld copper pipe/metal parts or components. 8. Repair or replace worn, damaged or defective mechanical parts. 9. Install expansion and control valves, using acetylene torches and wrenches. 10. Install wiring to connect components to an electrical power source. 11. Mount compressor, condenser, and other components in specified locations on frames using hand tools and acetylene welding equipment. 12. Cut, bend thread and connect pipe to functional components and water, power or refrigeration system. 13. Read blueprints to determine location, size, capacity and type of components needed to build refrigeration or air conditioning system. 14. Lay out reference points for installation of structural and functional components, using measuring instruments. 15. Drill holes and install mounting brackets if required. 16. Insulate shells and cabinets of systems. 17. Lift and align air conditioning and refrigeration units into position using carts or hoists. 18. Estimate labor and parts costs. 19. Submit reports to General Manager of daily tasks accomplished pending tasks that needs to be accomplished.
High School Diploma Required? Yes
Qualification Requirements: Must have at least 6 months training as Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Repairer and Installer. Must have at least 24 months job experience as Air con and Refrigeration Repairer and Installer. Extensive knowledge on the field of Heating, Air Conditioning & Refrigeration, including but not limited to refrigerants and tools needed to perform the job. Must have general knowledge of building and electrical wiring. Must be able to read building plans or sketches. Must be physically fit to lift or move objects 50 lbs and above. Must be able to work in open or confined spaces, exposed to extreme heat, cold, dirt or noise. Must be able to stand, sqaut and sit for long periods of time. Must be able to read, write, add, divide, subtract and multiply. Must be able to speak the English language. Must be able to acquire a driver's license or possess a driver's license in order to drive the company car to the job location.

Required tools, supplies and Equipment to be provided: EMPLOYER PROVIDED TOOLS, SUPPLIES AND EQUIPMENT: Workers will be provided, without charge or deposit charge, all tools, supplies and equipment required to perform the duties assigned. DAILY TRANSPORTATION: Workers will be provided with daily transportation to and from the worksite in compliance with all Federal and Commonwealth laws and regulation. BOARD, LODGING, OR OTHER FACILITIES: Employer will assist worker in securing board, lodging, or other facilities. THREE FOURTHS GUARANTEE: Workers will be offered employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least three fourths of the workdays of the total period that begins with the first workday after the arrival of the worker at the place of employment or the advertised contractual first date of need, whichever is later, and ends on the expiration date specified in the work contract or in it's extensions, if any. EMPLOYER AND EMPLOYEE shall abide or comply with all the regulations stated in US Labor ETA 20CFR Part 655.
