Job Title: Meat Cutter
Job Duties: Cut, trim, or prepare consumer-sized portions of meat for use or sale in retail establishments. Prepare and place meat cuts and products in display counter to appear attractive and catch the shopper's eye. Wrap, weigh, label, and price cuts of meat. Cut, trim, bone,tie, and grind meats, such as beef, pork, poultry, and fish, to prepare in cooking form. Prepare special cuts of meat ordered by customers. Receive, inspect, and store meat upon delivery to ensure meat quality. Estimate requirements and order or requisition meat supplies to maintain inventories. Shape, lace, and tie roasts, using boning knife, skewer, and twine. Record quantity of meat received and issued to cooks or keep records of meat sales. Cure, smoke, tenderize, and preserve meat. Negotiate with representatives from supply companies to determine order details.

Qualification Requirements: Must be a High School graduate. Must have at least 3 months work experience in wholesale food industry. Must have full knowledge and experience of a meat department operations and skills. Ability to work independently.

Comments: This job opportunity is a temporary, full-time position and must have at least 3 months work experience. Work days will be Monday to Saturday, and work hours will be from 6am-6pm. With this position the employer also offers the three-fourths guarantee as required by 20 CFR 655.423(f) where in three fourths is defined as an offer to workers full-time employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays of each 12- week period (or 6-week period if the employment covered by the job is less than 120 days.) Transportation and Subsistence: If the Employee completes 50 percent of the work contract, the employer will provide or reimburse the worker’s transportation and subsistence costs from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Outbound transportation and subsistence costs will be paid by Employer if the Employee completes the work period covered by the work contract or where the worker dismissed earlier.
