Job Title: Cement Masons and Concrete Finishers
Job Duties: Smooth and finish surfaces of poured concrete, such as floors, walks, sidewalks road or curbs using variety of hand and power tools. Align forms for sidewalks, curbs, or gutter patch voids and use new saw to cut expansion joints. Set the forms that hold the concrete using rake, shovel, hand and power trowel, hand and power screed. Monitor how the wind, heat, or cold affect the curing of the concrete throughout the entire process. Direct the casting of the concrete and supervise laborers who use shovels or special tools to spread it. Mix cement, sand and water to produce concrete, grout or slurry and smooth using trowel. Chip, scrape and grind high spots, ridges and rough projections to finish concrete using hand and power tools Perform other related task assigned from time to time.

Qualification Requirements: Education Required: Minimum - High School Graduate/GED or equivalent. Must have 3 months of work experience. Must know how to use of power and hand tools use for masonry. Knowledge experience is required for these occupation. Perform masonry works and concrete finishers. Duties may involve smooth and finish surfaces of poured concrete such as floors, walks, sidewalks, roads, curbs using power & hand tools. Mix cement, sand and water to produce concrete, grout. Chip, scrape and grind high spots, ridges and rough projections to finish concrete .

Comments: The job opportunity is a TEMPORARY, full-time position commencing January 1, 2021 to September 30, 2021. Terms & Three-Fourths Guarantee: Workers will be offered employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least three fourths of the workdays of the total period that begins with the first workday after the arrival of the worker at the place of employment or the advertised contractual first date of need, whichever is later, and ends on the expiration date specified in the work contract or its extension, if any. Transportation and Subsistence: If the worker completes 50 percent of the work contract period, the employer will provide, reimburse or advance payment for the worker’s transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for the worker’s reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker’s voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily Transportation: Workers will be provided with daily transportation to and from the worksite. Board, Lodging, or Other Facilities: Workers will be provided with board, lodging or other facilities and/or employer will assist workers in securing board, lodging or other facilities. Tools Equipment & Supplies: The employer will provide workers at no charge all tools supplies, and equipment required to perform the job. Miscellaneous: The employer will use a single workweek as its standard for computing wages due. Workers will be paid bi-weekly by check. The employer will make all the payroll deductions from the worker’s paycheck required by Local CNMI and Federal Tax law. The Employer will NOT provide worker On-the –Job training for this position.
