Job Duties: | Apply theory and principles of civil engineering in planning, designing, and overseeing construction and maintenance structures and facilities under the direction of engineering staff or physical scientists. Calculate dimensions, square footage, profile and component specifications, and material quantities using calculator or computer. Read and review project blueprints and structural specifications to determine dimensions of structure or system and material requirements. Draft detailed dimensional drawings and design layouts for projects and to ensure conformance to specifications. Confer with supervisor to determine project details such as plan preparation, acceptance testing, and evaluation of field conditions. Analyze proposed site factors and design maps, graphs, tracings, and diagrams to illustrate findings. Prepares engineering reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends; entering data and generating reports and presentations; performing calculations. Updates job knowledge by tracking and understanding emerging engineering practices; participating in educational opportunities and professional organizations; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks. Do other duties as assigned from time to time. |

Qualification Requirements: | Associates Degree in Engineering. At least 1-year work experience in an Engineering position. Proficient in Engineering drawings, designs & drafting software including Microsoft Office. Must be abreast with new Engineering tools & software. Possess excellent organizational and administrative skills and attention to detail is a must. Willing to work flexible hours including holidays and weekends. All applicants must be able to secure CNMI Driver's license. |
