| Job Title: | Construction Equipment Mechanic |
| Job Duties: | Diagnoses, adjusts, repairs and overhauls mobile mechanical, electrical, construction, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, such as bulldozers, graders, conveyors, dump trucks, backhoe, excavators and other heavy equipment. Repairs and replaces damaged or worn parts. Dismantles and reassembles heavy equipment using hoists and hand tools. Operates and inspects machines or heavy equpment to diagnose defects. Tests mechanical and electrical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with specifications. Cleans, lubricates and performs other routine maintenance work on equipment and vehicles. *Special wage rate: Work to be performed on DPRI-funded project will be paid no less than the indicated wage rate, but may be paid more where special Davis-Bacon Act rates apply. |
