Job Title: Food & Beverage Guest Service Host
Job Duties: Responsible for greeting guests in a friendly, enthusiastic, professional, and timely manner. Control the flow of work in the room by seating guests in station rotation while maintaining guest, lists and following restaurant standards. Handle reservation book, take incoming telephone calls, note reservations and special requests by guests. Oversee and ensure continuity of service in the dining room, including assisting service staff, as necessary. Answers telephone and assists guests by recording reservations, providing information about menu options, and restaurant location. Responds to guest inquiries about the property and location of key areas such as restrooms, lobby, other food/beverage establishments, etc. Remains aware of current house count, visiting VIP's, and hotel events to provide excellent service. Assists service staff by running food, refilling beverages and bussing tables in dining room if needed. Resolves guest complaints within scope of authority; otherwise refers the matter to management. Notifies supervisor and/or Security of all unusual events, circumstances, missing items, or alleged theft. Notifies management of any problems resulting from guest complaints, intoxication or disruptive behavior. Collect payments from customers. Meet with fellow F&B staff to review daily specials, changes on the menu and service specifications for reservations (e.g. events) Provide detailed information when asked (e.g. about portions, ingredients, or potential food allergies). Arranges and assures execution of special services. Follows all standard food handling, sanitation and health department guidelines. Train and supervised food and beverage staff. Supervised and coordinate activities of dining room staff to ensure that guest receive prompt and courteous services. Inspect dining and serving areas to ensure proper setup and cleanliness. Operate POS system. Assist Restaurant Manager in the management of work schedules for wait staff. Checks in with guests to ensure satisfaction with each food course and/or beverages. Prepare checks that itemize and total meal costs and sales taxes. Check patrons' identification to ensure that they meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages. High School Diploma Required? Yes
Qualification Requirements: High School/GED is required. Minimum of three (3) months’ work experience, preferably in hospitality. High School or equivalent. Requires ability to perform basic math skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Knowledge of appropriate table settings and F&B terminology. Previous food and beverage server and cash handling experience preferred. Bi-lingual in Korean-English or Chinese-English or Japanese-English is required due to the demographics of guest at the resort. Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Must be able to multi task.

Comments: This a temporary, full-time position of at least 35 hours per work week with employment period beginning April 5, 2021 to April 4, 2022. THREE-FOURTHS GUARANTEE for Employment offered is for a total number of work hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays of the total period of employment specified in the work contract, beginning with the first workday after the arrival of the worker at the place of employment or the advertised contractual first date of need, whichever is later, and ending on the expiration date specified in the work contract or in its extensions, if any. Frequency of pay: Bi-weekly, subjected to mandatory payroll tax deduction required by law (20 CFR 655.423(h). Deductions: Employer provided housing is optional for the cost of $100.00 per month (20 CFR 655.423(f)). Transportation and subsistence will be provided to the worker from the place of origin to the place of employment. Upon conclusion of the job opportunity, employer will provide the return transportation and substance to the place of origin or place of recruitment (20 CFR 655.423(k)(1)). Employer-Provided Tools and Equipment: Workers will be provided, without charge or deposit charge, all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the duties assigned (20 CFR 655.423(K)). This is a non-exempt position and is eligible to receive overtime compensation in accordance to The Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
