Job Title: Sewing Machine Operator
Job Duties: Refer to orders for sewing garments and select appropriate materials. Ensure that all the materials and auxiliary supplies are available before beginning work. Start sewing machinery at the beginning of a shift and test it for proper functionality. Address any discrepancies or problems faced during the testing period. Draw threads through needles and adjust machine functions to meet the requirements of the sewing project. Position materials under needles to sew them together or make patterns. Replace and rethread needles for a subsequent project or in case of the existing one needing more thread. Sew missing stitches or replacement parts in accordance to repair instructions provided. Observe operations to detect any faults or defects in stitching. Attach button, grips, hooks, and fasteners to finished garments. Attach elastic or tape to garments as specified in the work order. Ensure that the finished product conforms to the design and merchandising instructions provided in the work order. Ensure that excess material or threads are cut away from the finished product. Trim finished garments using scissors and cutters. Perform general and preventative maintenance tasks on sewing machines to ensure their longevity. Examine finished clothes for compliance and ensure that appropriate tags are sewed on them. Count number of garments stitched during a shift and record this information in company provided logs.

Qualification Requirements: Minimum of 3 months work experience as Sewing Machine Operator. With good physical (Hand/Eye) Coordination. Experienced in Operating a sewing machine.

Fringe Benefits: Three-Fourths Guarantee: Workers will be offered employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least three fourths of the workdays of the total period that begins with the first workday after the arrival of the worker at the place of employment or the advertised contractual first date of need, whichever is later, and ends on the expiration date specified in the work contract or in its extensions, if any. ■ Transportation and Subsistence: If the worker completes 50 percent of the work contract period, the employer will provide, reimburse, or advance payment for the worker's transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for the worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker orginally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker's voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved.
