Job Title: Translator( English/Chinese)
Job Duties: Translate messages simultaneously or consecutively into specified languages, orally or by using hand signs, maintaining message content, context, and style as much as possible. Read written material, documents, reports, contracts, agreements, files and rewrite/translate in Chinese to English and vice versa. Check translations of technical terms and terminology to ensure that they are accurate and remain consistent throughout translation revisions. Cross-reference specialized dictionaries and translation tools to check quality of translation. Proofread translated terms and terminology for grammar, spelling and punctuation accuracy. Follow up with internal team members and clients to ensure translation meets their needs. Listen to speaker(s) statements to determine meanings and to prepare translations, using electronic listening system as necessary. Complete other related task(s) as assigned by the employer.

Qualification Requirements: MUST BE A HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATE OR GED, 3YEARS OF RELATED EXPERIENCE IN INTERPRETING THE CHINESE / ENGLISH LANGUAGE, GOOD ORAL AND WRITTEN COMMUNICATION SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE OF THE GENERAL SUBJECT OF THE SPEECHES THAT ARE TO BE INTERPRETED. GOOD COMPUTER SKILL IS A MUST, PROFICIENT IN WORD, EXCEL AND POWER POINT.

This job opportunity is a temporary, full-time position commencing on June 01, 2021 to May 31, 2022. Workers will be provided with on-the-job training to perform the duties assigned. • THREE-FOURTHS GUARANTEE: Workers will be offered employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least three fourths of the workdays of the total period that begins with the first workday after the arrival of the worker at the place of employment or the advertised contractual first date of need, whichever is later, and ends on the expiration date specified in the work contract or in its extensions, if any. • TRANSPORTATION AND SUBSISTENCE: If the worker completes 50 percent of the work contract period, the employer will provide, reimburse, or advance payment for the worker’s transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for the worker’s reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker’s voluntary abandonment of employment.
