Job Duties: Prepare detailed drawings of architectural and structural features of buildings or drawings and topographical relief maps used in civil engineering projects, such as highways, bridges, and public works. Use knowledge of building materials, engineering practices, and mathematics to complete drawings. Tasks include: prepare civil, structural, and architectural drawings, detailing by using AutoCad and other design and review software; develop conceptual and detailed drawings for various residential, industrial, aviation and commercial design projects in AutoCad, Autodesk Civil3D, Sketchup, and related software; conduct site visits and obtain measurement of facilities or structures and related site information for developing base plans or as-built drawings; assist project engineers and project managers with coordination of design projects; candidates may also assist project engineers and project managers with construction projects. Tasks include assisting with daily document management for design and construction management projects these include hard copy and e-copy filing of correspondence, emails, and project daily reports from site staff (engineers and inspectors) and from contractors and consultants; assist with processing of data and documents such as preparation of forms and data input, exhibits for zoning permit and DEQ permit for applications and assist in development of technical illustrations for inclusion in engineering reports using AutoCad, Autodesk Civil3D, Sketchup and Bluebeam Revu.

Qualification Requirements: 24 months of experience as a Structural AutoCad Operator is required. Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering is preferred. Proficient with MS Office Tools: MS Word, MS Powerpoint; Adobe; Adobe Acrobat and Bluebeam Revu, AutoCad 2014-2018, Civil3D 2015-2018, Carlson Civil Suite 2014 and Carlson Survey is required. Familiarity with the use of Sketchup, 3D Studiomax and Autodesk Viz is preferred. Certification in Procore Admin, Project Management, Engineer, Quality and Safety and Financial Management is preferred.

Comments: HOFSCHNEIDER ENGINEERING CORPORATION is looking to fill one (1) STRUCTURAL AUTOCAD OPERATOR position in Saipan, Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands. Work will be performed only at 2nd floor, JET Building, Middle Road, Gualo Rai in Saipan, Northern Mariana Islands. This is a TEMPORARY, full-time position and we are looking to fill these job openings for employment from 10/01/2021 to 09/30/2024. Terms & Conditions of Employment: Workers will be paid no less than $15.86 per hour. Overtime will be paid at a rate of 1.5 times base hourly rate. The employer will offer 35 hours of work per week, depending on weather conditions. Work on weekends may be required. Hourly work schedule is 9:00a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Transportation: The employer will not provide daily transportation to and from the worksite locations in Saipan. If the worker completes 50 percent of the work contract period, the employer will reimburse the worker for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for the worker’s reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker’s voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Board, Lodging, or Other Facilities: The employer will not provide board, lodging, or other facilities. Tools Equipment & Supplies: The employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job. Three-Fourths Guarantee: The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period. Miscellaneous: The employer will use a single workweek as its standard for computing wages due. Workers will be paid bi-weekly by check. The employer will make all the payroll deductions from the worker’s paycheck required by federal and local law and will not make any deductions which are not required by law. The employer will not provide on-the-job training.
