Job Title: MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR WORKERS, GENERAL
Job Duties: Maintain and repair buildings, fix or replace faulty electrical switches, outlets and circuits breakers, inspect and diagnose problems and figure out the best way to correct them. Plan repair works using blueprints or diagrams. Do general cleaning and upkeep of buildings and properties. Order supplies from catalogs and storerooms, estimate repairs and costs, keep detailed records of their work. These workers are also responsible for recognizing when a job is above their skill level and requires the expertise of an electrician; a carpenter; heating, air-conditioning and refrigeration mechanic or installer; or a plumber, pipe fitter, or steamfitter. Also, responsible for fixing or painting roofs, windows, doors, floors, woodwork, walls and other parts of buildings. Get supplies and parts from distributors or storerooms to fix problems. Use common hand tools and power tools, such as screwdrivers, saws, drills, wrenches and hammers to fix, replace, or repair equipment and parts of buildings.

Qualification Requirements: Must have at least 24 months or 2-years work related experience as a maintenance and repair worker, general. Must have the ability to quickly move hand or move hand together with the arm, or two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects. Must have the ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong. With skills in using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
