Job Duties: 1. Service, clean or supply restrooms. 2. Gather and empty trash. 3. Clean building floors by sweeping, scrubbing, or vacuuming. 4. Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures. 5.Mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications. 6. Strip, seal, finish, and polish the floors. 7. Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems. 8. Requisition supplies or equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties. 9. Clean windows, glass partitions, or mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, or squeegees. 10. Move heavy furniture, equipment, or supplies, either manually or by using hand trucks. 11. Set up, arrange, or remove decorations, tables, chairs, ladders, or scaffolding to prepare facilities for events, such as banquets or meetings. 12. Make adjustments or minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilating, plumbing, or electrical systems. 13. Monitor building security and safety by performing tasks such as locking doors after operating hours or checking electrical appliance use to ensure that hazards are not created.

Qualification Requirements: 1. Must have at least 1 year experience in the same position. 2. Must be able to exert muscle force to lift, push, pull or carry objects at least 50 lbs in weight, without assistance. 3. Must be willing to work flexible hours, evenings, Sundays and holidays.

Comments: The job position is a temporary, full–time position with three (3) years duration. Work hours will be from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Mondays to Saturdays of every week but may vary depending on the work assignments given by the immediate supervisors or managers. The place of employment will be at ground Floor, Transamerica Building, Middle Road, Chalan Laulau, Saipan CNMI. Applicants will be expected to live within reasonable proximity to the place of employment to perform the work as required by this vacancy announcement. The selected applicant will be offered employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least three fourths of the workdays of the total period that begins with the first workday after the arrival of the worker at the place of employment or the advertised contractual first date of need, whichever is later and ends on the expiration date specified in the work contract or in its extensions, if any. If the hired applicant completes 50 percent of the work contract period, the employer will provide, reimburse or advance payment for the hired applicants transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the hired applicant is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for the workers reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the hired applicant originally departed to work, except where the hired applicant will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a hired applicants voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Worker will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (except passport fees). Daily transportation from the residence of workers to the worksite is not provided. Overtime work and pay is available and overtime hours are paid at a rate of 1.5 times that of the offered hourly rate in this vacancy announcement. Overtime hours shall begin to accrue after the 40 th hour of work within a calendar week beginning on Sunday and ending on Saturday. On-the-job training is not provided. The hired applicant will be provided, without charge or deposit charge, all tools, supplies and equipment required to perform the duties assigned.  Board, lodging or other facilities are not provided as part of compensation for this vacancy announcement.
