Job Title: FOOD SERVICE SUPERVISOR
Job Duties: 1. Train and supervise workers in food preparation, and in service, sanitation, and food safety procedures. 2. Supervise and participate in kitchen and dining area cleaning activities. 3. Estimate ingredients and supplies required to prepare a recipe. 4. Resolve customer complaints regarding food service. 5. Control inventories of food, equipment, and small ware and report shortages to designated personnel. 6. Purchase or requisition supplies and equipment needed to ensure quality and timely delivery of services. 7. Observe and evaluate workers and work procedures to ensure quality standards and services, and completed write ups. 8. Specify food portion and courses, production and time sequences, workstation and equipment arrangements. 9. Assign duties, responsibilities, and work stations to employees in accordance with work requirements. 10. Analyze operational problems, such as theft and wastage, and establish procedures to alleviate these problems. 11. Perform personnel actions, such as providing employee orientation and training, and conducting supervisor activities, such as creating work schedules or organizing employee time sheets. 13. Recommend measures for improving work procedures and worker performance to increase service quality and enhance job safety. 14. Conduct meetings and collaborate with other personnel for menu planning, serving arrangements, and related details. 15. Develop departmental objectives, budgets, policies, procedures, and strategies.
High School Diploma Required? Yes
Qualification Requirements: 1. Must have 12 months experience as Food Service Supervisor. 2. Preferably with online training certificate for job-related courses such as food safety of at least 8 hours per year. 3. Knowledge of basic HACCP(Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) procedure is a plus. 4. Must be able to lift at least 45 lbs and can work on flexible or an early morning shift. 5. Will consider foreign equivalent High School Diploma or GED.
