Job Title: Stock Clerk
Job Duties: Answer customers' questions about merchandise and advise customers on merchandise selection. Mark stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment. Stock shelves, racks, cases, and bins, with new or transferred merchandise. Itemize and total customer merchandise selection at checkout counter, using cash register, and accept cash or charge card for purchases. Take inventory or examine merchandise to identify items to be reordered or replenished. Clean and maintain display cases, shelves, aisles, supplies, tools, equipment and storage areas. Requisition merchandise from supplier, based on available space, merchandise on hand, customer demand, or advertised specials. Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in stockrooms. Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors. Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock, and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors. Compile, review, and maintain data from contracts, purchase orders, requisitions, and other documents to assess supply needs.

Qualification Requirements: Education: High School graduate or equivalent. Work Experience: 12 months of previous work-related experience. Skilled in the use of various operating systems: Microsoft Office, Microsoft Internet Explorer, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Inventory Tracking software. Must be able to lift and carry heavy objects at least 50 pounds or more and carry it for at least 100 yards, as required by the job. Must need the endurance to perform strenuous tasks, such as moving or cleaning objects, lifting and carrying heavy objects, and is usually repetitive and physically demanding such as bending, kneeling, crouching, or crawling in awkward positions throughout the day. Previous work-related skill and knowledge is required for this occupation.

Comments: The job opportunity is a temporary, full-time position commencing on October 1, 2021 to September 30, 2022 THREE-FOURTHS GUARANTEE: Workers will be offered employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least three fourths of the workdays of the total period that begins with the first workday after the arrival of the worker at the place of employment or the advertised contractual first date of need, whichever is later, and ends on the expiration date specified in the work contract or in its extensions, if any. TRANSPORTATION AND SUBSISTENCE: If the worker completes 50 percent of the work contract period, the employer will provide, reimburse, or advance payment for the worker's transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for the worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker's voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved.
