Job Title: Supply Management Specialist
Job Duties: Maintain and develop positive business relationships with a customer's key personnel involved in, or directly relevant to, a logistics activity. Develop an understanding of customers' needs and take actions to ensure that such needs are met. Manage subcontractor activities, reviewing proposals, developing performance specifications, and serving as liaisons between subcontractors and organizations. Develop proposals that include documentation for estimates. Review logistics performance with customers against targets, benchmarks, and service agreements. Direct availability and allocation of materials, supplies, and finished products. Redesign the movement of goods to maximize value and minimize costs. Explain proposed solutions to customers, management, or other interested parties through written proposals and oral presentations. Direct team activities, establishing task priorities, scheduling and tracking work assignments, providing guidance, and ensuring the availability of resources. Collaborate with other departments as necessary to meet customer requirements, to take advantage of sales opportunities or, in the case of shortages, to minimize negative impacts on a business. Report project plans, progress, and results. Protect and control proprietary materials. Develop and implement technical project management tools, such as plans, schedules, and responsibility and compliance matrices, and test equipment recommendations. Prepare staff work schedules and assign specific duties. Monitor suppliers to ensure that they effectively provide needed goods or services within budgetary limits. Perform personnel functions such as selection, training, or evaluation. Generate monthly and yearly reports pertaining to supply acquisition of materials. Develop budget and Open-to-Buy (OTB) plan to sustain operational needs. Collaborate with higher management to ensure operational needs are met according to the budget and OTB plans.

Qualification Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Tourism or Management. Three (3) years experience as an Operations Manager or Logistician. Knowledge of principles and methods for moving people or goods by air, rail, sea, or road, including the relative costs and benefits. Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources. Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction. Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, the financial markets, banking and the analysis and reporting of financial data. Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, state, or national security operations for the protection of people, data, property, and institutions. Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems. Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods. Must be able to lift at least 15 pound items and carry it for at least 100 yards with or without using a hand truck. Must be able and willing to work shifts, evenings, holidays, and weekends. Familiarity with tourism or hotel operations a plus. Skilled in the use of various operating systems: Microsoft Internet Explorer, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and the Point-of-Sales (POS) System.

Comments: The job opportunity is a temporary, full-time position commencing on October 1, 2021 to September 30, 2022. THREE-FOURTHS GUARANTEE: Workers will be offered employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least three fourths of the workdays of the total period that begins with the first workday after the arrival of the worker at the place of employment or the advertised contractual first date of need, whichever is later, and ends on the expiration date specified in the work contract or in its extensions, if any. TRANSPORTATION AND SUBSISTENCE: If the worker completes 50 percent of the work contract period, the employer will provide, reimburse, or advance payment for the worker's transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for the worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker's voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved.
