Job Title: Parish Secretary
Job Duties: Handle the administrative duties of the parish such as filing Church documents and preparing invoices, reports, memos, letters, financial statements and other documents using word processing, spreadsheet, database or presentation software; Place and receive telephone calls and direct calls, to appropriate parties or take down messages; Read and analyze incoming correspondence; Open, sort and distribute incoming correspondence for distribution to parties concerned; Prepare correspondence and make travel arrangements, if necessary; Take down minutes of the meeting during parish parish council meetings; Greet visitors and determine whether they should be given access to specific individuals; Arrange appointments for Church sacraments; File and retrieve canonical documents and records; Help in the production of the weekly parish newsletter in Korean; Perform general office duties, such as ordering supplies and maintaining Church and canonical records; Prepare agendas and make arrangements, such as coordinating catering for luncheons for parish council meetings; Provide and manage weekly schedules to the Parish Pastor.

Qualification Requirements: Require training in vocational schools, related on-the-job training experience. Previous work-related skill, knowledge, or experience is required for these occupations. Employees in these occupations usually need one or two years of training involving both on-the-job experience and informal training with experienced workers. These occupations usually involved using communication and organization skills to coordinate, supervise, manage, or train others to accomplish goals. While it is not necessary, the Secretary usually belongs to the Church denomination where he/she works. preferably able to speak/understand Chinese and or Korean.

Fringe Benefits: 104 hours Vacation Leave and another 104 hours Sick Leave. Workmen's compensation is provided. Per 20 CFR 655.423(f) THREE-FOURTHS GUARANTEE: Worker will be offered employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays of the total period that begins with the first workday after the arrival of the worker at the place of employment or the advertised contractual first date of need, whichever is later, and ends on the expiration date specified in the work contract or in its extension, if any. Per 20 CFR 655.423 (j)(I), Employer will provide transportation and subsistence to the worker while traveling from the worker's origin to the place of employment as will the return transportation and subsistence at the conclusion of the job opportunity.
