Job Title: Laundry and Dry-Cleaning Workers
Job Duties: Operate or tend machines to wash or clean products such as linens, duvet covers, towels, etc. Add specified amounts of chemicals to equipment at required times to maintain solution levels and concentration. Set controls to regulate temperature and length cycles, and start conveyors, pumps, and machines. Receive and mark articles for laundry or dry-cleaning with identifying code numbers or names, using hand or machine markers. Sort and count articles removed from dryers, and fold, wrap or hang them. Load articles into washers or dry-cleaning machines, or direct other workers to perform loading. Inspect soiled articles to determine sources of stains, to locate color imperfections, and to identify items requiring special treatment. Press all garments according to the specific type of material. Clean and maintain laundry and dry-cleaning machines. Maintains cleanliness of workplace; performs job safely. Helps other staff, if necessary.
High School Diploma Required? Yes
Qualification Requirements: Minimum of 3 months experience as Laundry and Dry-Cleaning worker or related. Work certification and high school diploma are required. With knowledge on production processes, quality controls, hotel linens, and guest or personal laundry. Must have basic understanding on laundry equipment and system. Willing to work on flexible hours including weekends and even holidays. Can work under pressure and less supervision.
