Job Title: | Facilities Maintenance Worker |
Job Duties: | Perform routine and recurring assignments involving general maintenance of the Shopping Center facilities, commercial rental properties, equipment and grounds, plumbing repairs, electrical related repairs, routine carpentry work (including minor paint jobs, installing doors, tiles), perform preventive maintenance on heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. Clean work area and equipment such as the maintenance shop, work site, and various hand tools. |

Qualification Requirements: | 24 months of facility maintenance experience required. Must know how to operate power-driven equipment and hand tools commonly used to maintain facilities and associated equipment. Has physical ability to move objects like a/c units, equipment and machineries, furniture, etc. weighing up to 150 lbs. using a hand truck or pulley. Can read and interpret blueprints and schematic drawings relating to plumbing and electrical repairs. Driving skills required and must pass pre-employment trade test (Note: these requirements are equally applicable to both U.S. and CW1 workers). |

Comments: | Work will be performed in Chalan Kanoa, Saipan, Northern Mariana Islands.. Overtime will be paid at a rate of 1.5 times base hourly rate. The employer will offer 40 hours of work per week. Hourly work schedule is from 8:00a.m to 5:00p.m, Tuesday to Friday, and Sunday. Worker will be paid bi-weekly by check. The employer will make all the payroll deductions from the worker’s paycheck required by federal and local law and will not make any deductions which are not required by law. The job opportunity is a temporary, full-time position commencing on October 01, 2021 to September 30, 2022. THREE-FOURTHS GUARANTEE: Workers will be offered employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least three fourths of the workdays of the total period that begins with the first workday after the arrival of the worker at the place of employment or the advertised contractual first date of need, whichever is later, and ends on the expiration date specified in the work contract or in its extensions, if any. TRANSPORTATION AND SUBSISTENCE: If the worker completes 50 percent of the work contract period, the employer will provide, reimburse, or advance payment for the worker's transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for the worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker's voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved.
