Job Duties: | Plan, direct, coordinate, oversee & manage activities directly related to daily operations of the company, a publishing company currently in preparation to bring its dive shop "anclah" back in operation, and to start an additional business of property management for a guest house in Navy Hill. Formulate policies, review financial statements, sales and activity reports, and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement, and to determine areas needing cost deduction and program improvement. Direct and coordinate activities of company’s departments concerned with the services and sales of the company’s businesses, including administrative activities. Place orders to suppliers, and monitor them to ensure that they efficiently and effectively provide needed goods or services within budgetary limits. Prepare staff work schedules and assign specific duties, determine staffing requirements, interview, hire and train new employees or oversee those personnel processes. Direct or coordinate financial or budget activities to fund operations, maximize investments, or increase efficiency. Establish or implement departmental policies, goals, objectives, or procedures in conjunction with board members, organization officials, or staff members. Perform personnel functions such as selection, training, or evaluation. Plan or direct activities such as sales promotions that require coordination with other department managers. Set prices or credit terms for goods or services based on forecasts of customer demand. Manage the movement of goods into and out of production facilities to ensure efficiency, effectiveness, or sustainability of operations. Perform sales floor work, such as greeting or assisting customers, stocking shelves, or taking inventory. Develop or implement product-marketing strategies, including advertising campaigns or sales promotions. Recommend locations for new facilities or oversee the remodeling or renovating of current facilities. Direct non-merchandising departments of businesses, such as advertising or purchasing. May accommodate customers as a Scuba Diving Instructor, as needed, which will involve duties such as: teach, instruct, and guide scuba diving activities to individuals or groups at public or private facilities. Explain and demonstrate the basics of scuba diving and teach proper use of diving gears and equipments. Conduct certification classes explaining techniques, principles and methods of regulating movement of body to achieve proficiency in diving. Issue certifications to customers that successfully completed the certification classes of various diving levels. Do periodical check-up of diving gears and determine necessity of maintenance/repair. May update company’s official website and instructors blog in Japanese. Accommodate company’s customers and vendors in both English and Japanese. Do other related duties as assigned. |

Qualification Requirements: | Minimum 2 years of experience as a General Manager of a tourist business company and/or scuba diving instructor of a dive shop in Saipan. Must be knowledgeable in tourist businesses in Saipan and other major islands of the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands. Basic skills and knowledge in using computers for administrative duties. Preferable to be able to speak, read and write both English and Japanese in order to communicate not only with the locals but also with Japanese which currently dominates company's prospective clients, customers and vendors. |

Fringe Benefits: | Compensations: Workers’ Compensation provided. Annual dive instructor membership fee & instructor insurance paid by employer. Three-Fourths Guarantee: Workers will be offered employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least three fourths of the workdays of the total period that begins with the first workday after the arrival of the worker at the place of employment or the advertised contractual first date of need, whichever is later, and ends on the expiration date specified in the work contract or in its extensions, if any. Transportation and Subsistence Provided: If the worker completes 50 percent of the work contract period, the employer will provide, reimburse, or advance payment for the worker’s transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for the worker’s reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker’s voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. |
