Job Title: | Mobile Field Network Maintenance Technician |
Job Duties: | Installs, commissions, maintains, troubleshoots and repairs the company’s telecommunications equipment including the base transceiver station for 3G, 4G, 5G, DAS, Wifi, Transport and future mobile equipment. Plans, installs, troubleshoots, and maintains Mobile & Building electrical switchgear, lighting, fire alarm, HVAC, ATS, UPS, transformer, CCTV, generator, and electrical equipment connections for its telecommunications systems. Responsible for obtaining, evaluating, and coordinating all information needed to plan and construct the project particularly for the electrical requirements for the telecommunications equipment and the preparation of RFP, survey, BOM and generate a CER (Capital Expenditure Request or PPP). Performs maintenance, start-up, and commissioning of power equipment such as generator, ATS, UPS, Inverter, MDP/PDUs, backup battery, and other electrical supporting units. Provides site audits and recommendation report to determine existing conditions of facility and improvements. Coordinates with and determines company requirements and permits for BTS and Building facility projects. Monitors the implementation of the project and ensuring compliance with all safety policies, procedures, guidelines, and laws. Responds to trouble calls for the restoration of service. Provides assistance to other department and contractors as directed by the supervisor. Utilizes AutoCAD or other drawing software application, Nokia BTS Site Manager software, Microsoft Project software, and Microsoft Excel software in performing job duties. Performs work for Employer in all villages of MSA of Saipan, NMI and travels four times per year to MSA of Rota, NMI for two days and MSA of Tinian, NMI for one day to perform work for the Employer as a Mobile Field Network Maintenance Technician in providing service for its customers. |

Qualification Requirements: | Associate’s degree in Electronic or Electrical Engineering (may be foreign equivalent); one (1) year of experience as a mobile field network maintenance technician, telecommunications equipment installer/repairer, or field technician for a telecommunications company; and six (6) months experience using AutoCAD or other drawing software application, Nokia BTS Site Manager software, Microsoft Project software, and Microsoft Excel software. |

Comments: | The job opportunity is a temporary, full-time position commencing on October 1, 2021 and ending on September 30, 2024. The job opportunity may require the worker to travel, at Employer’s expense, once per year to the MSA of Rota, NMI for one week or less to perform work for the Employer as a Mobile Field Network Maintenance Technician for its customers. Workdays will be Monday to Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. THREE-FOURTHS GUARANTEE: Workers will be offered employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least three fourths of the workdays of the total period that begins with the first workday after the arrival of the workers at the place of employment or the advertised contractual first date of need, whichever is later, and ends on the expiration date specified in the work contract or in its extensions, if any. TRANSPORTATION AND SUBSISTENCE: If the workers complete 50% of the work contract period, the Employer will provide, reimburse, or advance payment for the workers’ transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the workers are dismissed earlier, the Employer will provide or pay for the workers’ reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the workers originally departed to work, except where the workers will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the Employer has appropriately reported a workers’ voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved.
