Job Title: Civil Engineering Technician
Job Duties: Assist civil engineers in designing, planning and building and building stages of all infrastructures. Observe process on job sites, collecting data and completing reports. Help to plan, design and build commercial, industrial, residential and land development. Calculate dimensions, profile and component specifications and material quantities. Read and review project blueprints and structural specifications to determine dimensions of structure. Draft detailed dimensional drawings and design layouts for projects. Coordinate with engineer to determine project details such as plan preparation, acceptance testing and evaluation of field conditions. Analyze proposed site factors and design maps, graphs, tracing and diagrams to illustrate findings.
High School Diploma Required? Yes
Qualification Requirements: ASSOCIATE’S DEGREE, 24 MONTHS EXPERIENCE. Must have computer knowledge, circuit boards, knowledge of machine and tools. COMPUTER AIDED DESIGN CAD SOFTWARE, AUTODESK AUTO CAD 3D, BENTLEY MICROSTATION, COMPUTER AIDED DESIGN DRAFTING SOFTWARE CADD. ELECTRONIC MAIL SOFTWARE MICROSOFT EXCEL. ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY KNOWLEDGE OF THE PRACTICAL APPLICATION OF ENGINEERING SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY. THIS INCLUDES APPLYING PRINCIPLES, TECHNIQUES, PROCEDURES AND EQUIPMENT TO THE DESIGN AND PRODUCTION OF VARIOUS GOODS AND SERVICES. BUILDING AND CONSTRUCTION KNOWLEDGE OF MATERIALS, METHODS AND THE TOOLS INVOLVED IN THE CONSTRUCTION OR REAPIR OF HOUSE, BUILDINGS OR OTHER STRUCTURES SUCH AS HIGHWAYS AND ROADS. DESIGN KNOWLEDGE OF DESIGN SYSTEMS SUCH AS WORD PROCESSING, MANAGING FILES AND RECORDS, STENOGRAPHY AND TRANSCRIPTION, DESIGNING FORMS AND OTHER OFFICE PROCEDURES AND TERMINOLOGY. A HANDSON TEST ON COMPUTER PROGRAMS/SOFTWARE WILL BE SCHEDULED TO DETERMINE THE ELIGIBILITY OF THE POTENTIAL APPLICANT.
