Job Title: MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR WORKERS (GENERAL)
Job Duties: JOB DUTIES : 1. Inspect, operate, or test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions. 2. Dismantle machines, equipment, or devices to access and remove defective parts, using hoists, cranes, hand tools, or power tools. 3. Perform routine maintenance, such as inspecting drives, motors, or belts, checking fluid levels, replacing filters, or doing other preventive maintenance actions. 4. Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs, as necessary. 5. Repair machines, equipment, or structures, using tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, wrenches, or equipment such as precision measuring instruments or electrical or electronic testing devices.

Qualification Requirements: Must have at least 12 months of working experience including training involving both on the job experience and informal training with experienced workers. SKILLS 1. Equipment Maintenance - Performing routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed. 2. Repairing - Repairing machines or systems using the needed tools. 3. Troubleshooting - Determining causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it. 4. Critical Thinking - Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems. 5. Equipment Selection - Determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job. 6. Monitoring - Monitoring/Assessing performance of yourself, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action. 7. Operation and Control - Controlling operations of equipment or systems. 8. Operation Monitoring - Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly. 9.
