| Job Title: | CRANE AND TOWER OPERATORS |
| Job Duties: | Weigh Materials to ensure compliance with compliance with specification. Verify information or specifications. Operate cranes, in order to moving and lifting materials/equipment. Load and unload bundles from trucks, and move containers to storage bins, using moving equipment. Move Levers, depress foot pedals, and turn dials to operate cranes, or the other moving equipment for lifting, moving and placing loads. Weigh bundles, using floor scales, and record weights for company records. Clean, lubricate and maintain mechanisms such as cables, pulleys, and grappling devices, making repairs as necessary. Inspect and adjust crane mechanisms and lifting accessories in order to prevent malfunctions and damage. Inspect cables and grappling devices for wear. and install or replace cables as needed. Determine load weights and check them against lifting capacities in order to prevent overload. Direct helpers engaged in placing blocking and out rigging under cranes. |

| Qualification Requirements: | Operator candidates must be physically able to operate a crane. Candidates are required to complete and sign the Medical Verification Form prior to taking the first written exam. Pass the General Knowledge and the Type and Capacity Level written exams for which you are applying. Pass Practical Operating Exam on the highest type and capacity level for which you are applying and 1 year work experience. |
