Job Title: Computer User Support Specialist
Job Duties: Summary of Duties: Provide overall technical support in electronic data processing, information systems, systems analysis, and computer hardware and software systems as needed by the company. Specific Tasks: •Oversee the daily performance of computer systems. •Manage backup, security, and user help systems. •Consult with users, management, vendors, and technicians to assess computing needs and system requirements. •Answer user inquiries regarding computer software or hardware operation to resolve problems. •Meet with department heads, managers, supervisors, vendors, and staff for various projects to develop and/or improve systems as may be required by SMA's operation. •Provide users with technical support for computer problems. •Set up equipment for employee use, performing or ensuring proper installation of cables, operating systems, or appropriate software. •Install and perform minor repairs to hardware, software, or peripheral equipment, following design or installation specifications. •Maintain records of daily data communication transactions, problems and remedial actions taken, or installation activities. •Read technical manuals, confer with users, or conduct computer diagnostics to investigate and resolve problems or provide technical manuals, confer with users, or conduct computer diagnostics to investigate and resolve problems or to provide technical assistance and support. •Refer major hardware or software problems or defective products to vendors or technicians for service. •Develop training materials and procedures, or train users in the proper use of hardware or software. •Develop computer information resources, providing for data security and control, strategic computing, and disaster recovery. •Evaluate data processing proposals to assess project feasibility and requirements. •Stay abreast of advances in technology. •Perform other related duties assigned by the supervisor.

Qualification Requirements: •Knowledgeable in computer systems, both hardware and software. •Ability to read manuals for computer diagnostics and troubleshooting. •Must have (2) years work experience as a Computer User Support Specialist

Comments: •The job opportunity is a temporary, full-time position commencing on February 01, 2022 to January 31, 2023. •Three-Fourths Guarantee: Workers will be offered employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least three fourths of the workdays of the total period that begins with the first workday after the arrival of the worker at the place of employment or the advertised contractual first date of need, whichever is later, and ends on the expiration date specified in the work contract or in its extensions, if any. •Transportation and Subsistence: If the worker completes 50 percent of the work contract period, the employer will provide, reimburse, or advance payment for the worker’s transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for the worker’s reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker’s voluntary abandonment of employment.
