Job Duties: | Take orders from customers for food or beverages in a courteous and efficient manner. Be knowledgeable of all food and beverage items offered by the restaurant and making recommendation upon request. Be able to answer questions on menu selections. Explain how various menu items are prepared, describing ingredients and cooking methods. Enter orders into the POS system at the time of order to record transaction and for transmittal to kitchen staff. Prepare tables for meals and serve food or beverages to customers, and prepare or serve specialty dishes at tables as required. Check with customers to ensure that they are enjoying their meals. Report customer complaints immediately to the supervisors, take action to correct any problems and ensure follow up is performed with the customer. Check customers’ identification to ensure that they meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages. Prepare checks that itemize and total meal costs. Collect payments from customers. Remove dishes and glasses from tables or counters and take them to kitchen for cleaning. Clean tables or counters after customers have finished dining. Monitor operating supplies, equipment and reduce spoilage and wastage successfully. Inspect storage areas for organization and use of FIFO. Complete scheduled inventories and stock and requisition necessary supplies. Complete closing duties, including restocking items, turning off lights, etc. Attend and contribute to all staff meetings and trainings as scheduled. Undertake reasonable tasks and secondary duties as assigned by supervisor. Perform any special project and duties assigned by Supervisor and Management. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, support team to reach common goals, and listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees. |

Qualification Requirements: | Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Have at least twelve months of work related experience. Must be computer literate. Must be familiar in operating Point of Sale system. Be able and willing to work in flexible shifts, days, evening, night, weekend and holidays. Able to demonstrate specific skills: 1. Active Listening - Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions are appropriate, and not interrupting in appropriate times. 2. Service Orientation- Actively looking for ways to help other 3. Speaking - Talking to others to convey information effectively 4. Social Perceptiveness-Being aware of other's reactions and understanding why they react as they do. 5. Coordination-Adjusting in relation to other's actions. Multiple language speaking ability will be an added advantage. |
