| Job Duties: | Greet, register, and assign rooms to guests of the hotel. Make and confirm reservations. Accept and process room reservations for "walk-in" guests. Receive and transmit messages in person and/or with use of telephone or telephone switchboard. Answer inquiries pertaining to hotel services, shopping, dining, entertainment and travel conditions. Accept payment from guests both at the time of registration and at checkout. Maintain a house bank; end of shift deposits with accurate reports of receipts. Exchange pre-determined currency for guests. Compute billing and tally it with guest folios. Be able to perform "End of Day" processes on OPERA/PMS (Property Management System) and credit card machines. Record guest comments or complaints, referring customers to managers as necessary. |
