| Qualification Requirements: | Threat Hunting Specialist: Responsible for the early stages of threat detection by identifying threats at the first phase of an attack or compromise. Detects threat actor activity including exploitation and risk to critical systems. Monitors specific cyber threat actors to understand their tactics and techniques. Utilizes data analysis, threat intelligence and cutting-edge security technologies to find unusual behavior and malicious activity. Hunts for hidden and unidentified threats to the organization’s cyber environment. Tracks down the malicious agents who are already in a network and removes them from the environment once discovered. Works with security monitoring tools such as firewalls, data loss prevention, network intrusion detection and antivirus software. Uses a hypothesis-driven approach and behavioral analysis to uncover connections and correlations between potential cyber threats. Reviews audit logs to identify unusual behavior in the network and endpoint devices. Documents findings and incident investigations. Provides feedback and training to improve security controls. Job Description POSITION SUMMARY The Triage Analyst Iwill be responsible for assisting with the monitoring of all Data Loss Prevention events for Proofpoint's Managed Services clients, escalating all necessary events to the clients via approved escalation paths. TA’s will also assist in pulling monthly metrics from the DLP consoles supporting DPAs, SPAs, and CSMs with monthly reporting. Ensure all tasks performed adhere to the firm’s ISO 27001 Information Security Management System (ISMS). This includes participation in annual information and network security training and acceptance of spot checks on an ad hoc basis to guarantee that Proofpoint is constantly improving upon the organization’s ISMS. Each member of our team must understand the importance of the ISMS and the subsequent handling of client data. DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: · The Triage Analyst (TA) will be responsible for assisting with the monitoring of all Data Loss Prevention events for Proofpoint's Managed Services clients. They will be responsible for escalating all necessary events to the clients via approved escalation paths · The Data Protection Analyst will be responsible for assisting in pulling monthly metrics from the Data Loss Prevention consoles to assist the Loss Response Analysts, Senior Program Analysts, and Client Service Managers with monthly reporting QUALIFICATIONS: · Associates Degree in Cyber Security, Information Technology, Information Systems, Business Administration, or any other related degree · Two or more years working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security, Information Technology, Information Systems, Business Administration, or any other related degree · Two or more years of experience in a position relating to Cyber Security, Information Technology, Information Systems, Business Administration, or any other related field · Experience with Microsoft Excel, as well as entire Microsoft Office Suite HIGHLY PREFERRED: · Experience analyzing data from within a large data set · Experience in Client Service · Experience working or being on a team · Desire to pursue a career in Cyber Security This list of duties and responsibilities is not intended to be all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties or responsibilities that management may deem necessary from time to time. |
