Job Title: Maintenance and Repair Workers, General
Job Duties: Perform routine maintenance, such as doing other preventive maintenance actions. Repair machines, equipment, or structures, using tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, wrenches, or equipment such as precision measuring instruments or electrical or electronic testing devices. Maintain or repair specialized equipment or machinery located in cafeterias. Perform general cleaning of buildings or properties. Paint or repair roofs, windows, doors, floors, woodwork, plaster, drywall, or other parts of building structures. Record type and cost of maintenance or repair work. Set up and operate machine tools to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs, fixtures, or tools. Provide groundskeeping services, such as landscaping. Fabricate or repair counters, benches, partitions, or other wooden structures, such as sheds or outbuildings.

Transportation and Subsistence: If the workercompletes 50 percent of the work contract period,the employer will provide, reimburse, or advancepayment for the worker's transportation andsubsistence from the place of recruitment to theplace of work. Upon completion of the work contractor where the worker is dismissed earlier, theemployer will provide or pay for the worker'sreasonable costs of return transportation andsubsistence back home or to the place the workeroriginally departed to work, except where the workerwill not return due to subsequent employment withanother employer or where the employer hasappropriately reported a worker's voluntaryabandonment of employment. The amount oftransportation payment or reimbursement will beequal to the most economical and reasonablecommon carrier for the distances involved.
