Job Duties: | • Responsible for the documentation, reporting and updating of all payroll policies and procedures. • Applying knowledge and understanding of tracking time keeping, vacation accruals, exception reports, etc. • Preparing payroll on a biweekly basis, to include preparation of biweekly, quarterly and annual payroll tax forms. • Assisting Controller and other colleges with administrative duties. • Manage compensation packages – Complete, verify, and process forms/documentation for administration of benefits, such as, vacation pay, holiday pay, medical insurance, etc. • Collect and verify timekeeping information for all employees • Calculate pay according to hours worked incorporating leaves and overtime • Calculate bonuses and commissions when appropriate • Manage and calculate taxes and deductions • Initiate periodical payments timely either by preparing and administering checks or making direct deposits • Update paper and electronic payroll records by entering adjustments on pay rates, employee status changes etc. • Deal with complaints and questions regarding payroll from employees and upper management • Investigate and resolve any discrepancies in payroll • Prepare and submit reports with payroll information to Controller • Answer all incoming calls to the Finance Department. Transfer calls to appropriate person and take a detailed message when necessary • Assist with errands, such as, pick up mail from post office box, deliver payments, etc. • Assist with scanning, filing, and any other duties assigned Other duties as assigned. |

Qualification Requirements: | • Proven experience as payroll clerk or payroll manager • Familiarity with general accounting principles • Experience in data collection, entry and reporting with great attention to detail and confidentiality • Solid knowledge of relevant legislation, policies and regulations • Exquisite math and numerical skills • Outstanding organizational and time management skills • Excellent communication abilities with aptitude in problem-solving both written and verbal • High school diploma or equivalent; BSc/BA in accounting/business administration is a plus • Ability to communicate with and manage Management’s concerns and issues Ability to meet the demands of the work schedule, to be at work and on time. • Must be able to work independently or with a team. • Proficient computer skills including e-mail, word processing (Microsoft Word), spreadsheet (Microsoft Excel). Knowledge of Quickbooks online is a plus • Ability to handle confidential, sensitive and critical issues with demonstrated history of a commitment to ethics, honesty, integrity and credibility. • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, such as policy procedure manuals, and other related documents. • Must be able to multi-task. • Ability to read, write, and speak the English language. |
